This old barn was built in 1800 out of beautiful local stone, as you can see from the pictures it is still as solid as ever, the roof is also in reasonable condition. It is semi detached and is set forward from a neighbouring house.
The barn is enormous inside with a ground floor area of approximately 200m2. The elevation could certainly accommodate two floors thus doubling the space.
Outside it has a front area large enough for a driveway and parking and out the back it has over 800m2 of land which is level, enough for a very large garden, perhaps a pool? The ground drops away beyond the back garden and the views are fantastic, sweeping across fields and meadows with bits of woodland in between.
The barn is in a little hamlet where other renovations are in progress. It has had permission to convert to a dwelling which will need renewing and water and electricity are nearby as the attached neighbour is a lived in home.
The area has a small stream and lovely walks and paths, it is a short drive to the shops in the town of St Junien some 15 minutes away.
